Climate change and the commitment to ‘leaving no one behind’ in cities – the role of built environment solutions to secure resilience and inclusion

To achieve inclusion in cities, meanwhile tackling climate change, there is a need to acknowledge sustainability from a lato-sensu standpoint – considering its trade-offs and short and long term consequences.

In this sense, the session aims to address the reinforced contribution of local governments to ensure resilience to its territory, and dignity to those facing vulnerable situations through built environment solutions.

The discussion will spotlight both small and large-scale examples of interventions and will raise awareness on equity and climate vulnerability.
